Versatile approach possible with any rig
The Kaijel Rig is a proudly Korean bass fishing technique that became a massive trend even on Japan’s biggest bass fishing stages at the time of its introduction. It has since established itself worldwide as a proven tournament technique.
The name Aijel is a combination of Aros + Kaijel. Designed with a cross-shaped body, this bait allows the Kaijel rig—one of Korea’s original bass fishing techniques—to be applied in far more versatile ways. By rigging it with a worm hook instead of a jig head, it overcomes one of the traditional weaknesses of the Kaijel rig: fishing heavy cover and structure.
In addition, it can be combined with a variety of rigs to create different actions. It is a new bait that brings the horizontal action of a wacky rig into multiple scenarios, including free rigs, Texas rigs, Jika rigs, and more.
For example, when used on a free rig, conventional baits are limited to producing mostly vertical action. Kaijel, however, falls while producing a wacky-style horizontal action along the bottom, allowing anglers to generate entirely different reactions from bass.
